Seattle AVP - Day 1

Part of our reason to visit Seattle this time of year is the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Seattle Open. This three day tournament features some of the best volleyball players in the world, many of whom we have met on one of the South of the Border Volleyball Vacations. The tournament officially starts tomorrow, but today teams that did not automatically qualify have one more chance to earn their way into the main draw. Being the volleyball fanatics we are, we were at the venue bright and early to watch, and photograph, some of these matches. The man blocking in this photo, Madison McKibben, was one of four teams to make it into tomorrow’s tournament. More volleyball photos to come.
