Martin Luther's House

After another train journey we arrive at Eisenach for the real start of our bike ride. It is more or less in the centre of Germany, but was the most westerly town in the former East Germany; a town that is, I suspect little known to those outside Germany, but well known to Germans as the place whe Martin Luther worked on translating the bible and where he spent his childhood. It is also the birthplace of J.S. Bach (see extra) and has associations with Goethe.
