Curlew

Kathy wasn't sure what this chick was when it arrived a few weeks ago - now we know it's a curlew. See also the adorable baby pheasant in extras.

Much hand feeding done today - it's also great to see the ones who were so keen to feed last week now shying away from human contact and fending for themselves. The jackdaw siblings who went from adorable bundles to rather sinister looking youngsters have now been released - as have most of the ducklings but there are still 30 or so needing almost constant feeding. I don't know how Kathy does it!

Cheering for Switzerland this afternoon as they would give me 4 out of the 8 quarter finalists in our sweepstake. As for this evening, I am not sure I can watch.....
