Row

The first thing we did today was to go up the river to Ruswarp where we hired a rowing boat for an hour. It was an ideal warm but overcast and very peaceful. CyclopsJnr loved having a go at rowing, sitting up front, and playing pirate games. We were glad to do this, it was too rainy on previous visits. The hour flew by.

We then had a nice lunch at the Horseshoe Inn, Levisham, followed by a pleasant drive while CyclopsJnr had a car nap.

We stopped at Grosmont station which is part of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and we saw a steam train coming in. We got to have a good look at it in the station. We also visited the engine sheds and saw people doing all sorts of interesting maintainence on the engines.

Finally we dropped by Pannett Park in Whitby on the way home. In our four visits we've never made it to the park before so that was nice. It was a good park with lots of equipment and CyclopsJnr played nicely with some local children.
