Poppies

I’ve been meaning to go out in search of fields with poppies before it’s too late- there are usually plenty around here. I came upon this group by accident on the return journey from a shopping excursion. It wasn’t easy to photograph as it was over a wall and the verge was covered in nettles. What made it remarkable was the fact that alongside the wild red poppies were a number of blowsy pink ones. I wonder how they got there.
