Kiawah

Uncle D took a day off work to take us all out to play on the SeaSquirt on the barrier islands around Folly Beach.  Super day and a lot of fun for everyone.  We saw tons of dolphins in the sound, feeding mostly and playing. On Kiawah we also came upon two horseshoe crabs washed up near a tidal pool, mating probably.  I thought they were dead half buried in the hot sand.  I moved them down to the water and discovered they were still quite alive. We came back to them a little while later and they had already assumed the same position as before.  Bird Key was closed off and pity we couldn't land there, but did stop on Kiawah and Folly Beach Park. Lots of pelicans, fun feeding chips to the seagulls and digging for crabs who would chase us after we brought them up from their holes. Good times!
