After the Kyna.

Home of my great, great grandparents

This was to be (for me) the highlight of the family gathering in Glenuig, 11 of us ranging in age from 1 to 72.
The path to Smirisary is 45 mins from the car park, ascending and descending, rocky and irregular. We were in sight of it, when I took my eyes off my feet, and crashed down, head arms, ribs and knees bore the brunt of it. Strong nephews got me upright and I sat on a rock while everyone else went on, found the outline of the original Croft, got photos and returned to me. The walk back, the hour’s drive to nearest hospital, the 3 hour wait resulted in a pink plaster arm and 6 week driving ban.
