Blue tits' bath time

Didn't need to water the garden last night or this morning, when I woke to thick fog and light but steady rain. All the birds are pleased with the extra water, too.

By this evening, the sun had returned, and brought butterflies back to the buddleias, too. I trimmed my poor frazzled acer, quite hard, and I think it might be on the road to recovery, even though it's shed a lot of leaves. Some of those remaining are beginning to look more succulent again.

PS This is my first bird blip for over three weeks! Didn't I do well!
