Wildllife

En route to Birmingham today we popped in to Coughton Court Gardens, a National Trust property.  We'd driven past this place several times when up here last year staying in my nephew's house but never got to go inside. Today we did and gosh, what a lovely place. The gardens were delightful in spite of the dry, hot weather. The house is magnificent and we will have to go back and go inside.
Today's blip is of some of the glorious butterflies (names?) enjoying the abundance of nectar!   There were loads of bees too.....  A lovely couple of hours!
Had a fabulous late afternoon / evening with nephew and family and enjoyed a delicious barbecue with salad and new potatoes, eaten outside in the garden.... the joys of long summer evenings.
