Garden Party

My husband and I had received an invitation to the Royal Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. We don't get the chance to get all dressed up very often so I had enjoyed putting my outfit together! A very talented nurse I work with also has a millinery business so she made me a 'hatinator' to wear.

It was extremely hot but luckily there was some cloud cover at times. There was the pomp and ceremony you would expect and also delicious sandwiches and cakes! Andrew and Edward were accompanying the Queen but we weren't any of the chosen few they spoke to. I had a very enjoyable time 'people watching' and decided I really don't do high heels!!!
