Orb Weaver....

....in the window of our garage. I was tidying things up out there when I saw movement against the window, and almost had a heart attack as I was only about a foot away from it. While I'm not one to get hysterical over them, they aren't exactly my favorite either. I think it's their size....such big bodies....and they make such huge webs! I can't tell you how many of those webs I've inadvertently walked through on my way into the garage. But I got the camera and took it's picture, as the trees & light outside the window made a nice background. Tom asked if I wanted it "evacuated", but what the heck, he already did all the work on his web, so we let him stay.  :))
