Lucerne Bridge

It's the Kapellbrücke or Chapel Bridge in the Swiss city of  Luzern (its name in German), where we are staying  for a couple of days.  We flew  yesterday evening from Newark Airport to Zurich, and then took an hour's train ride to Lucerne. It mostly rained after we arrived, but in the late afternoon the weather cleared temporarily, and we took a stroll through the bridge (just a few minutes walk from our hotel). It's long, covered and made of wood--205 meters in length (ca. 1/8 mile). It burned partially in 1993 but was restored the next year.
