Beautiful Demoiselle (Calopteryx virgo)

Large on Black please!!

A day with the group in the south lakes - we visited Slaters Bridge, Cathedral Cave and Hodge Close - I don't think I've ever seen the water levels under Slaters Bridge as low as they are now. Around the bridge, there were a few of these "Beautiful Demoiselles" and after a lot of stalking, I managed to get a reasonable picture of one.
