'Pete from Petersfield'

I was taking a photo of the flower troughs above this pretty alleyway in Petersfield when along came this friendly gentleman!
We chatted for ages and he told me helped set up the first London to Brighton Cycle ride.  And his name was Pete, 'Pete from Petersfield'.  He even had an England flag on his bike, too and proudly showed me!
