A proper sort

Went up early to the allotment (on the bike!!) and did feeding, watering, weeding, thinning, transplanting as per.

It makes me so happy see these beautiful sweet peas which are climbing vigourously up the chicken wire on the shed - they came from seed that Chloe passed on, from her late mum's garden. She wasn't sure what they were. But having sung Pat's favourite song about a proper sort of gardener at her funeral, I thought they would come good, whatever they turned out to be. Looks like an old variety, Matucana or Cupani perhaps.

And they have a heavenly scent.....
