Adolescent Male Nuttall's Woodpecker

I caught this little guy in front of the office today. It took me some time to figure out he was a very young male Nuttall's woodpecker. At first I thought it was a female, but after a bit of research realized the females are without any red color on the top of the head. This guy was smaller, like a female, but the red is very minimal, which is the case for other female woodpeckers. So it was the lack of full color that clued me in!
