Contemporary Fruit Bowl

The fruit bowl has always been a popular subject for artists. Al those colours and textures. I recall which I recal was that full bowls were quite rare when I was growing up. For much of the year, fruit was just not available. It was out of season.

Oranges at Xmas was a particular treat.

Times have changed for the better. All fruit is available at all times of the year. And it is affordable.

We have collected significant medication over the past fortnight. We are grateful for the possibilities on offer to relieve pain. We wouldn't have wanted any other way.

Sobering though.
