Tanabata

The Tanabata festival dates back to the Showa period.  As can be seen in this photograph, and last year's too, it is celebrated by dressing up dogs in Yukata putting glasses on them and then balancing them on your head. 
This one appears to be the reincarnation of Ronnie Barker which is an added bonus.
