After a leisurely start, we headed to San Pedro del Alcantara, just along the coast.

By the main road and seafront, it’s very cosmopolitan and caters for the tourists. Further up the hill you find the old town, with the main square with heaps of rubble and under repair, in front of the Town Hall. We found the local market and I managed to find some reasonably priced genuine saffron.

We headed back to Elaine’s fabulous swimming pool, then a light lunch and to get ready for the main event this afternoon.

Last night we went over to the chic resort of Puerto Banús- all designer shops, Ferraris and Lamborghinis. A delicious Lebanese meal as we watched boats arrive (and the Brazil v Belgian game nearby.). Extra - the perfect spot.
