Learning to crochet

This afternoon Gbees and I attended our first ever crocheting lesson. Laura was our brave teacher, hosting the lesson in her garden sitooterie (in the heat). Gbees worked in purple, and I in white.

The blipped work took about two hours of effort. I think that we both need to speed up a bit, but it's hard to adjust to crochet techniques after decades of knitting - at one point I even tried to tuck the 'needle' under my arm!

Meanwhile, back at home, Mr hazelh enjoyed the football performance that has put England in the semi-finals of the World Cup.

Exercise today: 32 minutes of running (I'm building up distance and time after a long absence from the track); walking (15,813 steps - including those made on the run)
