A Sunday Drive

I have been wanting to go somewhere cold this winter.  I picked this place Hakatere or Ashburton Lakes.  The weather didn't provide cold so I'm calling it a reconnaissance mission and will return sometime.  It is a unique tussock landscape with perfect access on a good road.  Behind those clouds are mountains and on a clear day they would reflect in the small lakes.  This is land that was settled in the 1850's and farmed as high country runs.  The main pic is Lake Emma and the 1st extra Lake Roundabout. Last extra forester and lovely daughter.
