When I checked the garden trail cam this morning, I was delighted to see not only the usual badger, but also a fox, and most excitingly, our first sighting of the year of a hedgehog.
This afternoon we went for a wander to one of our favourite spots, hoping to see water voles. They took some finding today, but we eventually spotted one. (see extras). There were huge numbers and species of butterfly. We saw: Gatekeeper, Comma, Small Tortoiseshell, Ringlet (extra), Meadow Brown, Small Heath, Small White, Green-veined White, Small Skipper, Dark Green Fritillary and Painted Lady - today's blip.
