Wimbledon Afternoon

We went to visit Mom and Dad thinking we would be able to watch the last few minutes of Federer's game.  Kevin Anderson had different ideas and we came home before the final set!  It took SHH some time to sort out what was going on with Dad's TV and his Virgin Media Box.  He said it kept changing channel by itself.  We couldn't get it to do anything.  Then we discovered that someone had turned it off at the socket.  That seems to be the standard way to turn anything off in that household.  Anyway, we were all quite amenable and got a few little jobs done whilst watching the tennis.  We finished birthday cake and found the tube of icing I was supposed to use to write on the top of the cake on Sunday.  Oh well.  We tried to set up Dad with fingerprint recognition on the iPad.  We decided in the end the passcode would be easier as he knows that now.  I became a manicurist and birthday present adviser and purchaser.  There are three family birthdays in July.

I am also feeling a sense of achievement because I have been working myself up to writing a course session on End of Life Concerns for those living with dementia.  I need to be well ahead with that as it has to go through various stages before it is finalised and today I managed to complete my draft of it including video clips and extra poetry.  Yay!  Even got the meeting set up to discuss it.  It was a rather emotional topic to deal with...

And now, England are 1 up against Croatia and it's going to be a nervous hour and a quarter...

Come on In Gur Land!

Cooler today slightly.  Nice.
