Sometimes there are interesting shapes in Nature. After volcanic eruptions some of the lava cooled and contracted millions of years ago forming basaltic hexagonal columns which now form Samson's Ribs in Holyrood Park. The shapes can be seen where part of the rock has fallen down. (Extra) The little patch of flowers in the photo contains ten varieties and on the path below there were several other kinds as well as nice juicy wild raspberries.

It has been a most frustrating day for many reasons and I have also had major problems getting wifi which has been very intermittent recently, hence my inability to see and comment on blips unless I use my phone.
