Sgwarnog: In the Field

Beds

A Small Skipper on the campus lavender beds.

I'm trying to pay close attention to the Small Skippers as the Essex Skippers appear to be making inroads into Yorkshire and I'd like to be able to recognise one if I see one, no sign so far though.

Otherwise, it seems to be peak season for whites. Small White especially, but Green-veined and Large are about in numbers too, plus the odd Small Tortoiseshell and Meadow Brown.
