Welcome Home
It was a hard day. Mentally more than anything. There's a lot going on and I have to keep jumping between projects, remember where I was, remember what I was doing and then try to make progress. And I was asked about 6 different things today. My head is not built for multi-tasking.
I was pretty tired after 8 hours of that.
But I learned a couple of things.
First was my "Word Of The Day" - der Fehlerteufel. If you were to 1:1 translate that it would be something like "the failure-devil", or " the error-devil" but what it really means is "the gremlin". I've not seen or read that in German before.
Second was how fair the Germans can be. There was a report in "Der Spiegel" about the England men's football team not managing to make the World Cup Final with the headline "Gut gebrüllt, Löwen" which you can translate as "Well roared, Lions". An article that I found was even-handed and full of praise for the England team.
