Cove Harbour

Cove Harbour is in Berwickshire, about 9 miles south of Dunbar. It is now privately owned and still supports a couple of small fishing boats and three houses.
A few miles south is Siccar Point where, in 1788, James Hutton discovered layers of red sandstone overlaying older greywacke, and from that deduced that the earth was much older than the 6,000 years believed up till then.
