An invigorating day at work; Saturdays are always our busiest day with the shop bursting with people. This morning the till stopped working and with the help desk unavailable I had to set about trying to mend it asap while simultaneously instructing the two new cashiers on how to carry on without a till! The till manual was of little help failing to recognise such a breakdown. I resorted to the old faithful of turning the till off and on, but the problem remained. Prior to a good old kick I peered once again inside the machine and let out a big blow into its internal workings ..... and it started up again!!! Oh! the intricate mysteries of machines!!
