Awww...

...how cute the Eastern Finnish heifers are. They have been with the bigger (though not necessarily older) heifers two weeks now and they are getting along fine even though they are much smaller.

I walked to the fields behind the pasture in the evening. It's now almost four weeks since one of them was mowed for baling and it has grown very poorly since. The other one is not as bad, but I wonder if we'll get enough feed for next winter. We really need a good second cut.

One millimetre of rain! It doesn't help much.
