28 Years!

Twenty-eight years ago Bb and I got married in Crail in the East Neuk and then we had our wedding reception in St Andrews. Our honeymoon was to Indonesia and I remember the feeling of excitement like it was yesterday, as we waited on Leuchars train station platform wearing shorts, walking boots and carrying backpacks! That might have been the first journey as husband and wife, but it certainly wasn't the last. Little did we know what we had in store for us and I still get that feeling of excitement at the start of a holiday or journey!

Today, we met for a lovely late lunch in a new restaurant for us, Isabella's on Calle Ganduxer, after we'd both worked in the morning. We toasted with cava to many more happy years.

When we walked out tonight we looked at our watches and said we'd be having the first dance at that moment. We hummed the tune and had a laugh because when we hummed it to the band which played at our wedding we did it faster that normal just to give them the tune we wanted....but on the day, they actually played it at that speed - a very fast waltz!  We'd have had a wee dance tonight in the street but Bb has a sore foot and is hobbling!
