Cumbria Here I Come

By marpaul

What a shock today, it rained!!  Don't think it rained much at home but it rained more at Haweswater which is where I went with Misty this morning. Have been wanting to go there for the last couple of weeks as with the low water levels its possible to see the boundary walls of the submerged village of Mardale Green.  The village was flooded in the 1930s when a dam was built to supply Manchester with water.  Another one taken higher up is here

Out again tonight for the sunset and spotted some large jellyfish on the marsh which had been washed up with the tide.
