There is always a lot riding on the first Tuesday of November each year. Melbourne Cup... The race that stops the nation. Jockeys riding horses, punters riding on hope and Sales Directors riding Coordinators. Yes, what a day. But before that final point is elaborated upon...

Half of Team Ikon consisting of Chris, Cam, Fran and Simon, were invited to Cloudland to spend Melbourne Cup with Southern Cross Austereo hosted by B105 who are warming up for Summer. The frocks were fabulous, the suits were schmick and our hosts for the afternoon were amazing.

On cup day, everyone is a horse expert, hot tips and predictions that must be coming straight from the horse's mouth. Though this year, nobody picked Green Moon, except for Cam who ended up with a winner in the sweeps.

Which brings us back to winning. After best dressed male and female, there was a hashtag competition running on instagram. 1) take a photo of you at the event, 2) post it on instagram along with the hashtag, #b105melbcup and best photo takes the prize. A dynamite idea with some stylish execution saw this photo of Adam- the Director of Sales at SCA on Simon's shoulders take out the competition. Smiles all around.
