Castle Camps - harvesting barley...

Not all the fields in Cambridgeshire are vast and not all the machines the farmers use are huge!

Today has been a fairly quiet day, the weather has been very warm, the car thermometer reading 30℃ when I took this photograph... We went off to church this morning and this afternoon I went out to take a photograph.  I was pleased to see this CLAAS Dominator 76 and a Massey Ferguson 5445 tractor and trailer working in a small field of barley at Castle Camps. The 76s were built between 1978 and 1985 so this machine is at least 33 years old and still going strong...

The extra is a CLAAS Lexion 770 APS Hybrid making a start on the Oil Seed Rape harvest. An altogether different machine!
