The dog and duck

We are dog sitting this week, here she is having a paddle and wondering how to get to the ducks.  Lovely sunny day (again).  St Swithin's day today and legend has it that if it rains on St Swithin's day it will rain for the following forty days and forty nights so looks like we're in for a dry month again!
St. Swithin's day if thou dost rain 
For forty days it will remain 
St. Swithin's day if thou be fair 
For forty days 'twill rain nae mair.
