Mohndorf

We drove to Mohndorf (Poppy Town) for the annual viewing of the poppy fields. There were 2 plantings this year as May had been very dry. The second planting is blooming right now which suited us and we took a friend along with us. Apart from the wonderful sight the food is great and I indulged once again in Mohnnudeln (potato gnocchi with crushed poppy seeds, rum and icing sugar).
