Lake Wanaka

Today still pretty cold but this little family were about to enjoy a picnic with the toddler running round grabbing some food, baby lying on the gravelly beach and everyone being in tune with nature all around.

So often adults take the little people to a cafe or restaurant and think they will all love it. Kids erupt, their adults become short, the other patrons are frowning and frustrated and the staff on tenderhooks. Who enjoys all that?

Get the kids outside, let them run and paddle and climb. Let them to throw a stone, climb higher, chase the ball but all with a caring adult to guide them safely. Allow the children to live.

The Wanaka outdoors is such an inspirational environment with the mountains, water, snow, sunshine, walks, cycle trails etc etc
