Oscar the Dog

Oscar is an enigma (a person of puzzling or contradictory character).

I was told by Cornish person that he is a handsome lad, and that he is a rabbiter! In his time, he has killed a couple of rabbits ... so I suppose the Cornish person knew what he was talking about.

We are told that Oscar is a Lurcher ... which is a greyhound crossed with another breed. Oscar is crossed with a Staffy, which means he is as fast as a greyhound and as strong as a Staffy ... nice mix eh?

He has his friends such as Jade, the Doberman, with whom he had a barney with about 5 years ago, but now is one of Oscar's mates. Then there are other dogs that he just wants to kill. This makes walking the Enigma a PIA!

Yesterday in Tentsmuir Forest, he saw a Fox, and in a nano second, he was off!. Recall (getting the hound to stop and come back) did not work. Within 2 minutes, he was back, dodging and darting around to see where the little fox went. As we continued our journey from the forest to the beach, we ventured close to where the seals hang out ... his ear pricked up and front leg came off the ground pointing towards huge great monsters on the sand bank, so on went the lead!!! Just to be safe!

Last night, people across the road were having a small firework display. He turned to jelly instantly! Hid under the table!

This is him this morning on our 35 acre field walk. There was something there, he could hear it, he could smell it, but he could not see it, but it was definitely there. #

His other great love is barking and chasing Buzzards. Not pigeons, not crows, but just Buzzards.

He is a strange box of frogs, but we still love (put up with) him.
