Wren alert

I thought the bang on the kitchen window this morning was from the outside but then heard flutterings from inside and found a little Wren desperately trying to find a means of escape.  I encouraged it to the open back door but it missed  and landed in the utility on top of the washing machine looking very stunned.  However, I eventually caught the poor little bird and took it outside.  It was weightless and wonderful to get so close up despite its obvious trauma. 

Extras:  In the Utility, above the washing machine and on my hand ready for the off.

It rained in the night apparently and first thing this morning but by 11am normal service resumed - Mr sunshine reappeared.
