Capri

It’s been satisfyingly scorchio since we arrived in Italy for our hols.

Our pre-planned (and paid for) trip to the island of Capri (cue song) took place today what started as a rainy and dreich day. But that didn’t last long.

The crossing to the island was a choppy ride which had Mrs 24601 literally reaching for a sick bag.

I confess to being a little disappointed at the island. It’s full of history and played a pivotal role in Roman/Italian forklore but as a paradise place it falls way short.

Today’s blip is that if Emperor Tiberius’s cave where, according to the tour guide, he disposed of his enemies by throwing them off to the rocks below.

Enemies that included a lot of women, or so the story goes.

A good yarn for the tourists.
