End of a Wonderful Day

I don’t visit the south end of the island very often, not nearly as often as I would like or even should. So coming across this photo reminded me of some time spent in Harris last winter.
It was a cold but bright day and as we ambled down the twisting roads we would draw breath with each emerging vista.
After spending time walking beaches and machairs as well as sampling some fine cuisine at Talla na Mara (Hall by Sea) we decided to stay a little longer and watch the sun go down. I was so glad we did.
Life and a hectic work pattern had been getting in the way and this was the perfect end to our stolen moments of respite :-)
