Through my Eyes

Ready to Leave

Living on an island means we either fly or sail to travel further afield. This shot was taken early one October morning when there was a light frost adorning all it touched.
The silhouette of MV Isle of Lewis sits in the shadows of the rising sun and in the stillness I could hear the clanking of the ferry ramp as vehicles boarded the lower decks to start their outward journey.
Soon, the glass-like waters were stirred up by the heavy propellers and it’s rippling wake gently undulated towards the shoreline.
