Glasgow School of Arts, after the (second) fire

The masterpiece of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Fra (short for Francis) Newbury

This was as close as I could get to see the ruins.  A forlorn sight which will take years to reconstruct.  Many policemen in evidence.

Perhaps its replica should be built in another site - this is a very busy part of Glasgow, and such major works will wreak havoc over a large area.

P.S.  Fra Newbury and his wife retired to Corfe Castle.
