Skittles.

This evening Mr Tbay and I played in a Farm Community Network Skittles match. For Those amongst you who are not familiar with Skittles it is a very rural form of ten pin bowling but with only 9 pins! Many of our local pubs have a Skittles alley and there are numerous skittles leagues too. It is a very serious game for some and can get highly competitive too! The Mr Tbays play for a local team every week during the winter. This evenings match was purely for fun, and to be honest it was just as well as I am not a natural skittler to say the least. The FCN volunteers together with partners enjoyed a very happy few hours throwing some pretty irregular shaped wooden balls at the rather battered wooden pins! The team I was on lost and yes Mr Tbays team won! Happy days.

Farming - Two on compost hauling, Rusty hauling top soil and Mr Tbay Jnr and Chris on mucking out local free range hen house.

The weather is still remarkable warm and today was very humid too. The grass is unsurprising not growing which means there will currently be very little second cut for silage or hay. Just really hope that we do get some rain in the next few weeks and that maybe we have a long warm Autumn to compensate. If not I can see there being pretty bad forage shortages this coming winter.
