Terrier at Wittersham Road

The day didn’t go to plan at all, yet we finished the day only 5 minutes down on the published timetable.

The first two trains were late departing for various reasons as was the first up train. A fault with our token instrument nearly resulted in an unusual crossing move which we rectified as the train appeared.

The next crossing move had to be reversed owing to high fire risk and the final crossing move was abandoned altogether taking place at Rolvenden.

Which is how I managed to get today’s blip of the Terrier and Victorian Set at Wittersham Road as I was down on the platform to tell the driver to proceed to Rolvenden for the crossing rather than wait here for the down train.

All good experience for the trainee!
