The Dog Dance World Championship - training day.

It has been crazy hot today.

We went to the hall at 10 am and got us selves organized. We handed out good luck presents and cards to the other competitors and decorated the room, where we keep our dogs, with Danish flags.

We also exchanged gifts between us - it was almost like Christmas.

At 1.30 pm it was time for the Danish team to practise in the ring. Each dog have 5 mins in the ring for training or play. Hero shared his time with his sister Jazz, and Gollum shared his with a sheltie on the team, so they both got 10 mins, so we did our routines without the music with play and reward breaks. It was good training, but the ring was so hot. It was really uncomfortable and my clothes were wet from sweat, when I was done with the 20 mins of training.

We went back to the hotel for 1½ hour to rest and have a shower and then we went back to the hall for the Championship opening ceremony, which is always moving and something very special. It is amazing to walk into the ring and listen to your national anthem knowing that you were chosen to represent your country.

We finish with a meal before going back to the hotel and now I really need some sleep.

Tomorrow is Heelwork To Music day and Gollum's Championship debut.
