Sgwarnog: In the Field

Vacca Wall

Another bright autumn day took us out to Otley Chevin where we waded through leaves and picked up another couple of geocaches.

The Vacca Wall is one of the outstanding features of the Chevin; an ancient boundary wall built from upright quarried stone to keep cattle from straying. Today it accompanied us for on our walk through mature beech woodland.

A year ago, my Grandad's WW1 mess plate. We never forget.
