Hovden

What a nightmare, the card reader in the laptop gave up the ghost and I couldn’t download photos for a few days. Eventually when we got to Kristiansund on the 16 we found one in the Norwegian chain of Currys. It’s taken a few days to catch up but I’m back blipping when there is signal. After yesterday’s walk on Hornelen we headed north on a ferry to Måløy, an unremarkable place but having some excellent street art. Then it was off to Selje, before going to Hovden, where we went for a walk in the WW2 fortifications on the peninsula. There are a number of tunnels that you can walk through and we followed one to end up in the garden of the hut on the peninsula. The blip is a panorama of the view from near the top looking at the sea on both sides with a loch in the glen that runs down to the bay. We then drove up to Vestkapp, one of the furthest west points of Norway, but not the most westerly, where we had an amazing view inland to the higher, snowier hills.
