Blatant Proud Parent Moment

This evening was the leavers presentation evening at Oliver's school.

There were lots of very kind words, and some great examples of their musical skill.

The highlight being the presentation of a number of cups or trophies. We were really very proud for him to receive the trophy for reading. His teacher was very complimentary about how much his reading has come on over the last year, the difficulties he has overcome to improve and that it has been through his hard work and perseverance. We are so, so pleased for him.

Reading is still a struggle, and with the step up to secondary school in September, the bar will be raised even higher, but we know, despite his protestations, that he has an inner tenacity to do it for himself.

What more can you hope and wish for?
