Higher

I anticipate that this new building, the latest apartment block to be built along this part of Great North Road, will be higher than each of the others already built. The first one (completed 15 years ago) managed to have six levels. A garage below ground , the ground level being another garage and retail outlets, and then four levels of apartments. That was approved despite the rule being that no building on the Grey Lynn ridge should be more than four levels.

The next one to be built has higher ceilings and although still only four levels of apartments above the garage it is higher than the first. Number three managed to get even higher by not having an underground garage.

It appears the Council believes that rules are made to be broken
