Picturesque old wrecks......

Putting aside H and me, these were the such described boats on the Essex saltings. We went for our usual Thursday walk, this time we caught the train out to the lovely little fishing village of Leigh on sea and walked from there along to Benfleet to catch another train home.
It is, apparently, custom to leave old/disused fishing/cockling boats on the salt marshes (saltings) to rot and there were several to see (in extras) along this walk. We stopped for a drink and a sandwich at a pub constructed from an old grain barge "Gladys"
